Need to file by mail but..

in State Filing

All of my state return (CA) that was done through FreeTaxUSA, Other than the first page that instructs me on what to do with the printed papers and where to mail them, are covered in "Do not file" "Form Not Finalized" Regardless if i use the option to direct print, or download and print later.

Did I fill out something incorrectly?

    Hello Tholon,

    No, sometimes at the beginning of the year, the states do not have all of their forms finalized when the tax season starts. Generally, the states need to wait for the IRS to finalize their forms before they can update their own, so when it is finalized can really vary from year to year.

    When the forms have been finalized, then you should be able to sign back into your account and download official copies of your return without the watermarks.
