On its website it's asking for the 14 control # that came with rejection notice how do I get it

    Is the IRS asking for the Declaration Control Number? That may be the same as the Submission ID assigned when you e-file. Here is how you find it:

    1. Sign into your account.
    2. Navigate to the Check Status / Print Tax Return page using the Final Steps Menu.
    3. Under "Federal Tax Return" click on the link for "Other Information".
    4. See the "E-file Submission Details" and view your "Acceptance Information."

    After doing some research the 14-digit control number is found on an IRS letter or transcript. You may want to contact Customer Support while signed into your account for help with this.
