Hi vivian2025,

Yes, you can use the PTIN and then you'll need to mail your clients' tax returns instead of e-filing them. The software will ask if you have an EFIN, select No and then continue to the Filing Method screen where you can select to mail the return. Once the EFIN is approved, you can start e-filing the returns.

I applied for the Efin and they haven’t approved it yet, they said it takes up to 45 days but I have a ptin can I just use the ptin.
