How can I view bank account information before the return is complete?

I know the direct deposit/debit info can be viewed in Final Steps, but that is only available once the return is complete. Can I see bank account information anywhere else?

    Hi adobres,

You can actually view your bank account information before you finalize your return. Here's how:

    1. Go to Filing > Step 2 and continue
    2. View your banking information for your payment or direct deposit information

That will display the bank account details currently on file for your direct deposit or debit.

keep in mind you cannot view this until you complete your order.

Thanks, Matthew. I was hoping to see at the beginning of the process the bank account info from the prior year, but it seems that is not possible

    Hi Adobres,

You will be able to see your banking information at the beginning of the Final Step, before you file your return.

You may also sign into your prior year 2024 account using the link below and see your banking information on the Return/Status page. Click the check box for show bank information (if you used refund transfer) or to access the Final Steps > Step 2 - Review Tax Return > Federal Direct Deposit of Refund.

I owe taxes to the IRS and I don't see the bank account information in the tax return filed? Would the IRS would be able to see it?

    Hello mcd,

The banking information can be viewed here: Final Steps > Check Status/Print Tax Return

If you select Direct Debit, the banking information will be sent to the IRS and state electronically. This payment option can only be used when you e-file your tax return. Your e-filed tax return must be accepted by the IRS or state in order for the direct debit to occur.

Please reach out to our Support Team inside the account, they can also help you locate this.
