I am getting married right before the end of the year. Is it beneficial to file 2023 joint?

According to the IRS, if you are married on December 31, then you are married for the entire year when determining your filing status. If you are married, you typically have 2 options for your filing status, either Married Filing Jointly or Married Filing Separate. Married Filing Jointly will almost always give you the higher refund. You can also use this link to help you determine: https://www.irs.gov/help/ita/what-is-my-filing-status
