I need to fill out estate tax forms for my deceased mother’s estate which was under $300,000.

What forms federal and state will I need? Eight children split the estate do we need to pay taxes on it and what forms would we as individuals need to fill out? Thank you.

    We recommend consulting with a tax attorney who specializes in estate & trusts as it sounds as though you may need to file an estate return & have K-1s issued to each of the children.
