Unique situation, jail/taxes on stolen items, please help

I was not sure where to post this, I hope I am not too far off. Anyway, fueled by a drug addiction, I started stealing from popular retailers several years ago. I went to jail for this from Dec 2024 to March 2026. I was selling the stolen items via Paypal invoices. I didn't know that I was getting taxed on the items. So, while I was in jail I was getting letters from the IRS saying that I owe over 80K in back taxes. It appears that it has been several months since their last notice. The paperwork says that I can ask to delay collection along with a few other options. I'm curious what you guys think I should do? Thanks in advance for the help!

I think you should hire a tax attorney or a tax professional to help you get things sorted out. That would be the best place to start.
