Hi HokeyPokey78! Yes, if you choose to file by mail, you are responsible for printing and mailing your return to the IRS (and your state tax agency, if applicable). Our software will prepare your return and give you the option to print it, but we do not submit or mail it to the tax authorities on your behalf.
Once you've printed your return, you'll need to sign it and send it to the address provided in the filing instructions. Those instructions will be included with your printed return and will show the correct mailing address based on your state and filing situation.
I recommend sending your return via USPS Certified Mail. This gives you a tracking number and a record of when the IRS or state agency received your return, which can be helpful if any questions come up later about whether or when your return was filed.
