Tax Year 2026 Will there be anything new or updated?

As the topic says.

If you are able to give any update on what will be new or improved for tax year 2026?

Such as, has the import of the 1099's been moved out of beta?
If so, how it been improved?

Will the new 1099-R include the new "Y" code?

Will it include the new 2026 charitable deduction for non-itemizers?

    Hi JLFTUFreeForum, we do have some exciting updates planned for tax year 2026, but we won't be able to share all of the details until everything is finalized. That usually happens in the fall, around November. You can be assured that our software will be updated to reflect any new tax law changes that apply to 2026, such as the charitable deduction for non-itemizers. We also regularly make improvements to usability and other features. Please check back with us as 2026 comes to a close. At that point, we should have a better idea of which features will be added or improved in the 2026 software.
