NY Yonkers has "convenience of the employer” rule for state income tax

Even though I do not live there.

We DO NOT have state income taxes in Texas. How can I get my $ back?

    Hello,

    If you work from home in Texas for a NY company, located in NY, then you generally must pay NY state taxes. Is this the case? If so, the convenience-of-employer rule applies, and you must report the NY source income on a nonresident NY state income tax return and pay taxes on it.
