I filed my 2025 taxes and also completed Form 9465. My question is: do I still need to mail Form 9465 to the IRS, or will the IRS receive and process it automatically because it was included with my tax return?

The IRS will eventually contact you (by mail) about your payment plan and the user fee.
In the future (and for others), it is generally faster and cheaper to apply for a payment plan online at irs.gov/payments rather than using Form 9465. You'll get an immediate response, and can monitor and revise the agreement as needed.
