    Need more information.

    Federal and or State returns.

    Like when did you file your Federal and or State 1040?
    Did you use FreeTaxUSA?

    Have you checked at the IRS web site?

    Hi Lulubelle40, if you're asking about your federal refund, the timing depends on the IRS. For most federal returns that are e-filed with direct deposit, the IRS commonly issues refunds within 21 days after acceptance, although this is not guaranteed and some returns take longer. If the return was mailed, processing generally takes at least 6 weeks.

    I know it can be stressful to wait on a refund. To check a federal refund, use the IRS “Where’s My Refund?” tool. You’ll need the tax year, filing status, and exact federal refund amount shown on Form 1040, line 34. The IRS controls the refund processing and provides the status updates directly.

    Are you expecting a refund from your state, as well? If so, state refunds are tracked separately through the state tax department’s website and may have different processing times.
