Trying to get copy of return

I filed my taxes for last year and I am still fighting with the IRS to get my refund from that year. They won't help me without another copy of my taxes, is there a way to get that information emailed to me so I can get my 317+days late refund??

    Did you file using FreeTaxUSA?

If you did you can just log in to your account and print out a copy.

If you have access to your IRS account you can also get a copy there.
If you did file and you see it on the IRS web site then I can not understand why they can not find it.

Here is a link to them.

If you do not have online access you should do so.

To track your refund here is a link.

You can check it out without creating an account.

    Want to add.

You should always either save a PDF copy on your computer or print it out and keep it in a safe place in case you need it later.

Both is not over doing it.

    Hi MilissaJ,

Thanks for joining our Community and writing in with your question.

You may retrieve a transcript copy of a previously filed tax return in your online account with the IRS. Choose Record of Return or Tax Return Transcript. These are held for three years inside your IRS account online.

    Here's the instructions:

    Start by going to: https://www.irs.gov

Once you have verified your ID with ID.me and completed your IRS.gov account, follow these steps.

On the Welcome page screen, select ‘Records and Status' at the top.

    Choose Tax Records.

On the Tax Records screen, select 'View transcripts' in the Transcripts box.

Choose Return Transcripts or Record of Account.

Neither the IRS or FreeTaxUSA emails copies of a tax return. That's not a secure method, and exposes your personal information to potential tax ID theft, or worse.

If you used another retail software provider, you can login to that account and retrieve a PDF copy of the tax return you filed.
