Are we both able to file head of household?

My boyfriend and i live together. We both have 1 child together and i have 3 of my own. Are we both able to file head of household? He will be using our child as a dependent and i will be using my 3 dependents.

    As long as both of you paid more than half the cost of keeping a home for the dependents that you're claiming on each of your returns, yes, you should both be able to claim the 'head of household' status on the separate tax returns you file.

    He'd claim HoH and list the 1 child on his return, and you may claim HoH and list the other 3, so long as each of you paid more than half the cost of keeping the home for the dependents you're claiming, and those dependents lived with you for more than half the year.
