    Hey Squirrel67!

    Gamblings earnings that are won in New Jersey are subject to New Jersey tax. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that you must file a NJ return.

    Depending on your filing status and how much you made, you may not need to file a New Jersey return. You can check the chart here to see the threshold for each filing status. If your gross income from everywhere for the year was less than the filing threshold, you are not required to file a NJ return.

    Keep in mind that even though you may not need to file a New Jersey tax return, if would still be in your benefit to file a return if you are due a refund of any tax that was withheld from your income.
