I have more than 20 1099-INT's, am I still able to efile my return?

Having many 1099-INT forms will not prevent you from e-filing your return. Please enter the information from each 1099-INT individually into our software. The total amount of taxable and non-taxable income will then be reported on your return as applicable.

That's interesting since when I attempted to enter more 1099's in Cash App Taxes and Turbo Tax Online, they both said that:

"You can't efile because the maximum
number of Form 1099-INTs you can e-file is 20, which is set by the
IRS. You can still print and mail in your return though".

So you are saying that there is no IRS ruling stating this?

    Hello rjackiew,

We are not aware of any limits the IRS imposes on the number of 1099-INT forms. Our software may have a limit on the number if 1099-INTs you can enter, but I know it is more than 20 1099-INT records. As Taxlady06 pointed out, the total taxable and nontaxable interest is reported on your Form 1040 and reported to the IRS as part of your e-file data.
