in Filing my taxes

I had solar panels installed on my roof but am receiving monthly invoices to pay it off. I didn’t pay anything upfront, it is all being billed to me in monthly installments. Since I didn’t pay anything upfront, What $ amounts do I put down on the tax return?

    Hello Acf806,

    Even if you are financing your solar panels, you enter the full amount of your invoice for the Solar Energy Credit. Our software will calculate the credit and apply it to your return. Any unused credit will carryover to later years to be used.
