I submitted my tax form and then received a 1095-C for my health insurance coverage. Do I need to file an amend for the premium tax credit?
Per the IRS, only the 1095-A needs to be entered on the 2023 individual income tax return. If you received a form 1095-B or 1095-C, the information on these forms is not entered on the tax return. I'm including a link to a FAQ on the IRS.GOV website, expand #15 - "Am I required to file a tax return if I receive one of these forms?" https://www.irs.gov/affordable-care-act/questions-and-answers-about-health-care-information-forms-for-individuals
The short answer is, for 2023, no, you do not need to amend your 2023 tax return to include the information from your form 1095-C.
I have a 1095-B form for healthcare coverage. Don't see any option to add this form into FTU? This is needed for filing in Massachusetts for 2025 taxes?
Can we get an updated answer for 2025?
What needs to be entered?
1095-A?
1095-B?
1095-C? Employer Provided Health Insurance
