Do I need to amend if I forgot to add my estimated taxes?

    Hi jjtkdd, great question! If you made estimated tax payments and you did not include them on your tax return you will want to amend. By not including the information you likely have a higher balance due or a lower refund then you are entitled to. Generally, you want to wait until any refund has been received by you or any balance due to the IRS or state has been paid by you before amending. This helps with accuracy as well as reducing any confusion if the IRS or state did make any adjustments for you.

    Once you are ready to amend the return you will just sign into your account and start the amendment. Enter the requested information and continue through our software. Entering estimated tax payments in listed under the Misc tab!
