    Hello,

    Yes, you can always choose to mail in your returns instead of e-filing. E-filing is the preferred method as it is quicker usually, but you do have the option to mail in your returns instead. We will provide instructions on where and what to mail in your returns that are prepared through us.

    How? When I get to the FINAL STEPS - I see no way to move forward without paying for an e-file of state which I do NOT want to do.

    How do you forgo e-filing state taxes?

    I think you have to pay for the preparation of the state return, even if you file on paper.

    If you want to avoid paying altogether, check to see if your state offers an online filing service.
