PAYMENT PORTAL BROKEN ---- FTUSA STATE RETURNS
Payment portal for FTUSA state returns has been down for a few of days, as of 4/6/2023. The first time, FTUSA went in and they were able to fix it. Now again (with a different client) it is down again, and they won't fix it, it seems.
They said I should use a different tax software instead and also would not issue a service code to get past the payment portal screen. We use the paid preparer service and file multiple clients on this software. We have been big fans of FTUSA for a long time but it seems we will not be able to use them because we don't have a way to pay for the service if their portal is broken. 😥
Please keep this in mind BEFORE YOU SPEND 10 HOURS ON A BUSINESS RETURN THAT OPERATES IN MULTIPLE STATES. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SUBMIT THAT TAX RETURN, AND YOU WILL HAVE TO REDO IT USING A DIFFERENT TAX SOFTWARE. I hope they will fix this soon. If it comes back up, I will update this.
