To file separately from my daughter or together

so my daughter made 26,000 last year she lives with me and I made 54,000 last year. I need to know since she’s over 30 if she should file on her own, would it make more I do it the way I don’t have to pay as much out of my pocket thank you.

    I’m waiting to file my taxes until I know the fairest way also which way will save me money!

    That could depend on your situation. Depends on both of your credits and deductions. Are you trying to claim your daughter as a dependent? Unless she is disabled then it would be tough to go that route since she's older than 24.

    What I would recommend if you are concerned about certain scenarios is to just go through the filing process 2 times and just compare your refund amount. You can use the software as a calculator and it allows you to change your scenario around pretty easily while showing you how it affects your refund amount.
