Why haven’t my payment gone through yet for the amount I owed irs?

it’s my first year filing so I’m a bit lost, but I noticed the amount I owed never came out my account.
This is what it says:
You've chosen to pay your tax due to New York using direct debit. Once New York State Department of Taxation and Finance accepts your return, they'll withdraw $—-from your bank account as early as 03/27/25. Make sure your direct debit goes through.

Hello Mrap18,
I understand the concern regarding your payment. The date entered for the electronic withdrawal is the earliest date that the IRS can withdraw funds from your bank account for the tax due. It can often take much longer for the withdrawal to occur as it is dependent on the IRS processing the return after it was accepted. Often, the IRS is unable to withdraw the amount due because there are not enough funds to cover the amount due in a bank account.
Because it has been 7-10 since you submitted your return, you may want to call IRS e-file Payment Services at 888-353-4537 to inquire about your payment. You can also view more information about the process here: https://www.irs.gov/payments/pay-taxes-by-electronic-funds-withdrawal#facts.
