My refund said it should have went in my account on 4/16/25. I have double checked my routing number, bank account number and double checked with bank. It is all correct. But the bank hasn't seen my deposit.
Hi tgill908,
I am sorry that your refund hasn't been deposited into your account yet. It can take a few days for refunds to post to your bank account. You may need to wait a couple more days. I also suggest checking the Where's My Refund site to see if there are any updates to the status of your refund—it's possible a delay is now indicated there.
If this question is about your state refund, rather than your federal refund, you'll want to check the Where's My Refund site for your specific state.
I check it every day and it says the same thing. Have deposited in my account on April 16. But the bank doesn't show anything. I have tried to get a hold of someone at IRS and that is impossible to speak to anyone. It has been 8 days and nothing.
It is federal refund not state. Florida doesn't have state taxes
The first step it to make sure your bank account information is correct. Sign into your account and go to the Return Status page on the Final Steps menu. Under "Federal Tax Return" check the box, "Show Bank Account Information" and double check that everything is correct.
The next step is to check Bureau of the Fiscal Services to find out if there wasn't a possible issue with your refund.
If your refund was reduced by the Treasury Offset Program, you may phone the Treasury Offset Program Call Center at 1-800-304-3107. For additional information regarding the FMS Debt Management Services, you may visit the official FMS website athttps://www.fiscal.treasury.gov/ or by phoning their office at 1-888-826-3127.
I have checked everything so many time everything is right and every time I call and check it says that my refund was deposited on 4/16. I have double checked with my bank and bank account and routing numbers are correct.
The next step is to call the Treasury Fiscal Services.
Good morning. Where do I call the Treasury Fiscal Services at or how do I get the phone number? Thank you, Tanya Gill
Ok my husband and myself both call the Treasury Fiscal Services and there is nothing holding our money. Now what do I do please and thank you.
According to the IRS website FAQ: "What if I entered the correct account and routing numbers, but the IRS made an error in depositing my refund?"
Answer: "Contact an IRS customer service representative to correct any agency errors by calling 800-829-1040 (see telephone assistance for hours of operation). Unfortunately, this may result in you receiving a paper check."
Good afternoon. My husband and myself both called the Treasury Fiscal Services and neither of us have anything held on our taxes. Now what should I do. Our bank and routing numbers are correct. What do I do? Thanks, Tanya Gill
I have double, triple and quadruple checked the routing numbers, account numbers with bank and also printed what was on the tax forms out and checked those also. Everything is correct? Now what do I do. You can not speak to anyone at the IRS it is all automated and just keeps circling back to where you started. It says every time it was deposited in my account on April 16. But the bank shows nothing. Now what do I do?
Hello tgill908,
If you e-filed and chose to direct deposit your federal refund, the IRS typically processes returns and sends refunds in less than 21 days. The IRS states, "Many different factors can affect the timing of your refund after we receive your return. Even though we issue most refunds in less than 21 days, it's possible your refund may take longer."
You can find the most up-to-date status for your refund and other information regarding refunds using the IRS's refund tool here:
www.irs.gov/refunds
I have checked everything again. It said that my refund was put in my account on 4/16/25. I have check and double checked the routing number and account numbers with bank and looking at my filing. Still nothing. Can't get a hold of anyone at IRS they will not allow you to speak to anyone. What else can I do.
I checked the refund and it still says that same thing. Should have been deposited on 4/16.25
I am very sorry to hear that you haven't gotten your refund from the IRS yet.
Have you tried calling your bank? If not, I suggest calling your bank to see if they have received anything. Sometimes, a deposit may be attempted, but the bank may reject it so you will not see it on your bank statement. If that has happened, a representative at your bank should be able to look up that information.
If your bank doesn't show a successful or rejected deposit, you can follow these steps to call the IRS and discuss your account with a live IRS agent:
Another alternative is looking at your Account Transcript in your IRS account online. All taxpayers have access to their account information on the IRS website.
