edited January 17 in Filing my taxes

I just filed my 2023 taxes with this platform and it wants me to mail my return (because the efile service is closed until 1/26. I haven’t mailed anything yet, can I have this platform efile it on the day it opens? How do I do that ?do I need to redo it ? Will it do it automatically? Thanks In advance

    Hello Ip44,

You can submit your 2023 tax return for electronic filing once it is open on January 26, 2026. You will want to sign into your account in the 2023 software one it is open and submit your return in the Final Steps menu.

Please note that the IRS requires an Identity Protection PIN when e-filing prior year returns. You can find information about IP PINs and request one here: https://www.irs.gov/identity-theft-fraud-scams/get-an-identity-protection-pin

    Hello again,

It should be available now. I know it wasn't available first thing yesterday, so you may have tried before the e-filing for prior years was open.

If you are still struggling to e-file, I would recommend that you contact customer support directly. They should be able to see if there is something else going on that is preventing you from e-filing.
