"Form not finalized" On my State Return

in Filing my taxes

Due to the way my W2 is filled out, and exemptions I am receiving, I am needing to mail in my state (ca) tax return.

However, when hitting "download" or "Print now" a good portion of my forms are watermarked "Do not file, Form not Finalized"

Am i too early in preparing my taxes and my states forms aren't fully updated/realized by this filing software? (EIC/F3514)

Do i just not include these papers in the end filing? and if so, why include them in the printable list?

Checking other sources, the forms with these water marks generally are included with any tax returns to the state.

    Hello Tholon,

    Yes, as the forms say "Form not finalized" it means that many of the physical forms for CA have not yet been approved for filing yet. That can happen near the beginning of the tax season, especially when there are events that could cause delays updating the forms and tax laws.

    I would recommend checking back every so often. When they are ready, the watermarks will be removed.
