I just registered and this 91 year old man does not see any clue how FreeTaxUSA works.
I relied on TurboTax for 19 years and suddenly NOTHING. I mean after TurboTax Regular to Deluxe to Premier —-NOTHING.

I find FreeTaxUSA easier to use than TurboTax, but it's different so at first might be intimidating. You just let the software walk you through the process. Maybe one of these articles will help get you started:

Our software does do a good job at guiding you through the process. But if you ever need help, you are always welcome to e-mail support (free) or upgrade to Deluxe or Pro Support for an additional fee.
Basically, our software is divided into different sections: Personal, Income, Deductions/Credits, Misc, Summary, and State. You will unlock the different sections of your return as you go through the software. If you have questions, there are often little question marks next to the different items in the software that can be of great help. You can also use the search bar which can be very helpful for locating certain items in our software.
