"Did you purchase this vehicle now?"

I have a 1095NEC and used my vehicle to commute to work. It's asking "Did you purchased this vehcile now" which is extremely vague. I purchased it new from the dealer many years before I started working with this business.
Is it asking 'did you purchase this vehicle new many years ago'
or is it asking 'did you purchase this vehicle just for this job'
How do I answer? Thank you

Hello sertgerg:
The question that relates to whether you purchased your vehicle new is essentially asking whether the vehicle was a new vehicle when purchased, meaning no previous owners, or was a used vehicle when purchased, meaning it had previous owners. Based on your post, it appears that when you purchased the vehicle from the dealer it was a new vehicle in that it had no previous owners. Thus, you can answer the question with a “yes.”
You mentioned in your post that you have a Form 1099-NEC which is a tax form generally issued to a non-employee off a business who performed services for the business for which they received compensation, and are probably functioning more like an independent contractor and/or self employed person. You also mentioned that you use your vehicle to commute to work. While independent contractors or self-employed persons may deduct their vehicle miles under certain circumstances, commuting miles are generally not a deductible expense.0
