Does FreeTaxUSA Support 1040-ES Voucher(s) (for upcoming year)?
I used FTUSA for first time this year (love it!). One thing I noticed was that it didn't generate four(4) 1040-ES vouchers for the upcoming year based on this year's return. (which I've often seen on other tax platforms)
I don't care so much about the actual vouchers themselves - but rather the amount(s) calculated on those vouchers. Is there a way to access that information quickly/easily from within my return or account on FTUSA?
(I'm sure I can calculate the safe harbor amount myself - just curious if FTUSA had this info calculated somewhere already)
Thanks!

Hi TRhao,
You will fine the 2024 1040-ES vouchers on the MISC menu. We never lock that page and you can always sign in, change the amount and print the vouchers as often as needed.

Hi, I have the same question. I went to the Misc — 2026 Estimated Tax Payments section as you instructed, and "do you want to make 2026 estimated payments" was set to no, even though earlier in the process I had set it to yes, and vouchers were being generated originally with earlier return drafts. At some point during the filing process it must have switched itself to "no." So now, after filing, if I switch it to yes, it wants me to use a worksheet to calculate my estimated payments, rather than providing the amounts. Is there no way to see the vouchers/estimated 2026 payment amounts without manually calculating because this got set to "no" somehow during filing?

You might want read these posts, too.
Hopefully they will add this function to automatically figure out the Estimated Taxes amount within the software like TurboTax does.
Attention FTU Agents.
Adding this will only enhance the software.

Hi Northsea,
The 2026 Estimated Payments page is never locked, even after you file. That page is there for your convenience, and NOTHING is transmitted to the IRS. You can print vouchers. Currently the IRS is in the transition of phasing out payments by check for estimated payments.
I recommend that you visit the IRS payments page for making estimated payments for 2026.

Yeah sorry I didn't understand when I commented that freetaxUSA doesn't calculate the amounts for you the way TurboTax does. So that was the source of my confusion.

Thank you! This is what I was confused about, when I initially googled freetaxUSA I got false information that they do -- I think because they "provide" the vouchers, which of course isn't useful if the amounts themselves aren't also provided. As far as I can tell TurboTax has a monopoly on that service currently.

You said, "As far as I can tell TurboTax has a monopoly on that service currently."
They do not have a monopoly in providing the Prefilled Estimated 1040's vouchers.
H&R Block does not provide this either.
It's up to the companies them selves, FTU or H&R Block to include this well desired service. Not sure about any others like Taxact.

Um yes, it's up to them. But do any of them provide it besides TurboTax?

Are you talking about blank 1040-ES vouchers where you fill them in yourself and mail?
You really don't need to have vouchers to pay your taxes, this can be done online. Just make sure save the confirm as a PDF or print it out and keep them with your 1040 hard copy or PDF.
Read this about paying taxes.
https://www.irs.gov/paymentsI normally use either Direct Pay or from my IRS account.
If you need blank vouches go here

No. Not blank vouchers. They all do that.
