This app is garbage

in Filing my taxes

I started filling out my first 1099, and I took too long to answer so it signed me out and deleted everything. Now it wants me to start over. Trash.

    How long where you logged in before it signed you out?
    What browser where you using?
    When you were filling in your data did click on the "Save and Continue" when you finished?

    It expired after a few minutes. I clicked save more than once. But it saved nothing. Trying to do my self employed taxes for the the first time on my own is already a nightmare but add in losing all my progress... well.. makes me more than angry at this app.

    I'm sorry you're experiencing this level of frustration with our software. This is generally not the experience for our users. I'm going to assume this is your 2025 tax return you're preparing?

    We do have an automatic timeout function as a security measure when a screen is abandoned or no activity takes place in the program. And our software saves in real time when you select 'Save' or 'Save and Continue' at the bottom of the screen. This way you can pick up where you left off.
