Will FreeTaxUSA support Form 1116?

    I ran into something similar before. FreeTaxUSA does support Form 1116 in some cases, but it can be limited depending on how your foreign income is categorized. If it doesn’t detect the need automatically, it sometimes just skips it. view

    Will FreeTaxUSA support Schedule B for Form 1116 for tax year 2026? I have a foreign tax credit carryover and need this schedule to report the carryover.

    I understand Schedule B for Form 1116 was not supported for 2025. Has support for 2026 been added or confirmed yet?

    Hello SCBun,

    Although we support Form 1116: Foreign Tax Credit, we only support it in a limited way. Schedule B, Form 1116 is not currently supported by FreeTaxUSA.

    I loved FreeTaxUSA, however disappointed seeing this message of no plans to extend the support for Form 1116. That's make me revert back to earlier options.
