I'm a 10-99 worker. I guess due to the "No Tax on Tips" this year, my mileage is now way too much to get EIC or Child credit?! So would it be legal to delete the vehicle expenses all together to receive a refund? It's so strange seeing less mileage result to more refund. It's always been the complete opposite

I officiate at Track & Field meets across the state. I use the mileage method for determining travel costs. Do I count only the travel to the venue site or can I count both to and from the site? There is no "in between" stops, strictly to and from.
