Amending this year's return

in Filing my taxes

Unfortunately, out of convenience and naivety, I filed my taxes with Cashapp, however, I made mistakes and forgot to add a number of deductions and expenses because this is my 1st time as a gig worker. I want to know if I can download my returns (PDFs) from Cashapp, import them into FreetaxUSA, and do an amendment to my return?

    Hello Carl,

    You can do an amendment with us even if you didn't file with us originally. We do not have the ability to upload a tax return and then amend it. You will need to basically recreate your original tax return in our software first and then amend it.

    We do have a great Community article that walks you through the process.
