W9 for NRA with SSN

I am on F1 OPT visa. I have an SSN and I opened a savings account with a bank that only files W9. NRAs should file a W8 BEN. Is it okay to keep it open or should I close it?

    Although FreeTaxUSA supports many different tax forms and situations, we don't support Form W-8, Certificate of Foreign Status of Beneficial Owner for United States Tax Withholding and Reporting (Individuals). Since we don't support the form, we're not able to help you with any questions regarding Form W-8.

    We're also not able to guide you on whether or not to keep open or close a bank account.
