How do I attach other forms?
How do I attach other forms when filing my annual return? For example, I have to attach form 8938 but the system only asked me if I did it, not to actually attach it.

In the FreeTaxUSA software, from the menu at the top of the page:
Misc → Income → Foreign Financial AssetsOn the screen, "Did you own high-balance foreign financial assets?" select YES, Save and Continue
On the following screen, "Do you need to report your foreign financial assets?" select YES to the question, "Do you need to fill out Form 8938 to report your specified foreign financial assets to the IRS?", Save and Continue
On the following screen, "Did you file these forms?" select YES to the question, "Do you have other specified foreign financial assets that weren't reported on any of the above forms?"
- Selecting YES to this question indicates to the software that, since you didn't file any of the forms presented above, you need to prepare the form 8938.
Save and ContinueOn the following screen, "Your Foreign Deposit and Custodial Accounts" click on the "Add a Foreign Account" button. This will bring you to the screen, "Foreign Deposit or Custodial Account Information," where you will enter the information for the form 8938.

Is it normal to not be able to e-file with form 8938?

It is possible to file a return with Form 8938 included. If you are receiving a message that your return is not able to be e-filed, I recommend contacting us while logged into your account using the "Support" feature in the upper right corner of the screen so our agent can take a look at your specific return to see why e-filing may not be an option.

So to clarify, I need to add any income on form 8938, but do I also need to include that amount under the income section, like "other income"?

Form 8938 is simply reporting foreign financial assets. It does not report income. If you have income that needs to be reported on your tax return, it will need to be reported in the appropriate section of the Income menu, depending on what the income is and how it was reported to you (W-2, 1099, etc).
