Here are the steps to attach a Form 1099 to a Schedule (such as Schedule C, E, or F) in your FreeTaxUSA account when using a mobile device.
- From any page in the software, select the menu button in the upper left corner of the page. (Three horizontal lines stacked on top of each other, often called a hamburger menu.)
- From the drop-down menu, select Income > Attach 1099-NEC/1099-MISC. Note that this option will only show up if you have entered a 1099 that isn’t attached to a Schedule.
- You'll be directed to the ‘Attach 1099-NEC or 1099-MISC' page.
- The software will display all unattached Form(s) 1099-MISC and NEC. Clicking the blue ‘Attach 1099’ button takes you to the ‘Did you get a 1099?’ page. Make sure the box is selected for the 1099 to be attached.
- Select ‘Save and Continue’. This will save the changes and remove alerts about the 1099.
Additional 1099s can be included by repeating the same process for each 1099.
