Let's walk through how to attach a 1099 to a Schedule C after the Schedule C and 1099 have both been added to the software. You'll only need to do this if the 1099 wasn’t added directly to the Schedule C.
These instructions can be applied to the other schedules and tax forms in our software where a 1099 may need to be attached after you've already entered the 1099 without attaching the 1099.
First, follow this menu path: Income > Attach 1099-NEC/1099-MISC
Doing so will take you to this page, where you'll then select ‘Attach 1099-NEC / 1099-MISC’, which will take you to the page on the next screen.
Here, you’ll select the checkbox next to your 1099 to attach it to your Schedule C. You’ll then select ’Save and Continue’ to finalize the selection.
You can repeat this process for any other 1099’s you've included that aren’t attached to other schedules or tax forms in your return. Forms 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC can be attached under the ‘Income’ tab on any of the following pages:
- Business Income (Schedule C)
- Rental Income (Schedule E)
- Royalty Income (Schedule E)
- Farm Income (Schedule F)
- Farm Rental Income (Form 4835)
